What & Who?
A fibre event celebrating diversity and fostering equality and community. We cant wait to meet you.
With so many craft and fibre fairs already happening, we want to focus on the people and relationships. This event is focused on forming friendships and celebrating one another. Come to meet other fibre lovers and discover what makes them a unique part of our community. From local artist, makers, and stores to community craft nights, we want you to make memorable connections. See below for more details.

Welcoming Fibre lovers of all sorts and those who are fibre curious. Please join us for an event with focus on equality, accessibility and community.
With makers, artists and shops from across all aspect of the fibre world and more, we welcome you to explore, meet and make friends on September 29th. This is an unique event where the focus is on creating and fostering a community of like minded individuals and forming lasting frienships.
We believe in celebrating diversity and fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and represented. We embrace artisans and fibre lovers from all backgrounds, cultures, and abilities, and we are committed to creating a space where creativity knows no boundaries.
From Acrylic, to Tencel, to Vicuna, ALL are welcome here.*
Shop the Marketplace, join the "Creating Welcoming Communities" talk lead by the fabulous Fatimah Hinds from Disturbing the Fleece, take a short Workshop, collaborate on our community art project and hang out in our Crafters Hangout Space. The Shipyards also offers a wide variety of outdoor seating and restaurants if you need a break. Did we mention there is a door prize raffle?

General Admission Tickets are just $10. Kids 16 and under are free.

(SOLD OUT) 100 I (heart) Fibre Tickets are available at $20. These tickets come with a goody bag of items and discount generously provided by our vendors and sponsors. Ticket holders can enter at any time. (Masking requirements apply 10am-12pm)

ACCESSIBILITY

We are committed to accessibility and equality. We know there is always room to grow so please feel free to share with us how we can continue to improve to foster everyones needs.
Here are some of the things we currently have in place:
-Accessible venue, no stairs
-Surrounding area has ramps
-Masks are mandatory by all attendees, vendors, staff and volunteers during the hours of 10am to 12pm
-Sanitizer on hand
-Sliding scale and free entry tickets for those with financial barriers. Please email us at hello@ponniematinstudios.com or call 778-322-2445 and we will be happy to assist you.
-Contact us for a free ticket for your accompanying caregiver or support worker.
-Free entry for 16 and under.
-6' or wider aisle where ever possible.
-Sign Language Interpreters for our Community Chat with Fatimah Hinds of Disturbing the Fleece.
-1 universal gender neutral bathroom with push open button. 2 other bathrooms, both with 1 accessible stall. All bathrooms with change tables.
-Chairs will be close by if you need a sitting break in the middle of an aisle.
-Earplugs are available from our front desk if you forgot yours and the noise gets too loud. (finding a good fibre to squish can cause sudden and uncontrollable noises )
Our Website xoxofibre.com and our socials as well as all event signs have been designed with visual accessibility in mind.
-Vendors are all allotted the same amount of space regardless of their business success. Tables are chosen first come first served during registration.
-Sponsorship packages start as low as $10 allowing those whose ethics align with ours a chance to support the event.
